Secure Payments, Powered by Google

For easy tap and go payments with no card required, simply download the Google Pay App to your Android phone or compatible smartwatch. You can use Google Pay wherever contactless payments are accepted, and speed through the checkout on compatible apps and websites.

Setting up Google Pay

Open the Google Pay app and tap + (the plus sign). To add the card details, either:

  • Use the camera to capture the card information
  • Type the card details in manually.

You’ll receive a one-time passcode via SMS or email to verify your card.

Smartwatch

Open the Google Pay app and tap Get started. Follow the instructions to add a card.

Making payments

You don’t need to launch the app to use Google Pay – simply unlock your phone or device

Paying In-Stores

To pay in person, just tap your phone or device on the contactless terminal. If your transaction is over $100, you’ll need to enter your card PIN at the terminal.

Paying on an app or website

To pay in-app or on a website, select Buy with Google Pay at checkout. Your card and address details will be automatically added.

Changing the default card

For an Android phone, open the Google Pay app and select the card you want to use as your default card, then tap Make Default. For a smartwatch, open the Google Pay app, and tap the card you want to use as default. From the bottom, swipe up on More, then tap Set as default card.

Removing a card

For an Android phone, open the Google Pay app and tap Menu > Payment methods at the top left. Tap the card you want to remove, then tap More > Remove payment method at the top right. For a smartwatch, open the Google Pay app and tap the card you want to remove. From the bottom, swipe up on More and tap Remove.

You should consider whether this service is appropriate for you before acquiring it. Your smart phone must be NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled and running Lollipop 5.0 and above. Access to the system is subject to availability and maintenance. We do not charge a fee to allow you to use your Visa card in Google PayTM. Internet data charges may be incurred through your mobile service provider – check with your Internet Service Provider for more details.
