An Inward Telegraphic Transfer (also known as an 'Inward Wire') is an electronic transfer of funds directly credited to your account from an overseas remitter.
Regional Australia Bank is pleased to bring you an easy way to receive international payments. By leveraging Convera's global banking network, transaction fees may be avoided or reduced2. When funds are deposited into a Convera nominated account they will arrange for the funds to be transferred to your Regional Australia Bank account at a competitive and guaranteed exchange rate without charging any fees2 3. If you have received a Draft / Cheque in a foreign currency, Regional Australia Bank, in association with Convera, will usually be able to convert it into Australian Dollars for credit to your account.
Typically, personal, bank, company or government foreign currency cheques can be converted (although money orders are not accepted). However, please note that some conditions do apply.
Speak to a branch staff member for further information. Cheques can be converted from a range of foreign currencies.
You can generate a Payment Instruction form by completing the online form and sending it to the person overseas who is sending the money to you. Rates are guaranteed for 72 hours2
