After a 15 year baseball hiatus in Armidale, The Armidale Outlaws were formed. The constant travelling to neighbouring centres like Tamworth to play began to wear thin so the club started to seek support for the construction of a new baseball field in Armidale.
Support came in the form of Regional Australia Bank and their Heart of Our Community website. Here passionate locals and baseball fans from around the country and internationally, including clubs from the USA, showed their enthusiasm for the project to get off the ground.
