Shop in-stores and on selected apps and websites with the same device you carry or wear every day. With Samsung Pay, you can use your Samsung phone or smartwatch to make quick and easy payments at almost any contactless terminal in-stores, as well as on apps and websites with the Samsung Pay Checkout button.

Setting up Samsung Pay

You can register up to 10 cards into Samsung Pay. To load a card, open the Samsung Pay app and sign in with your Samsung ID. You’ll need to register your biometrics (fingerprint, face ID and iris authentication) and passcode which you’ll use to authorise payments. Open the menu in the top left corner and tap Add > Add a credit card or debit card. To add the card details, either: Use the camera to capture the card information Type the card details in manually. In some cases, you’ll receive a one-time passcode via SMS or email to verify your card.

Making payments

Samsung Pay is accepted almost everywhere you can pay with a credit card. There is no default card in Samsung Pay. When you open the app, the first card displayed is the last one you viewed or used.

Paying In-Stores

To pay with a Samsung phone, open the Samsung Pay app or swipe up from the home button. Swipe left or right to select your Visa debit or credit card. Verify your biometrics and touch your phone to the terminal to complete the transaction. If you don’t use the biometric feature, you’ll be asked to enter your PIN. To pay with a smartwatch, you’ll first be prompted to enter a PIN when you put on your device. Then hold the Back button to open Samsung Pay and swipe right or left or rotate the bezel to select a card. Tap Pay and place the top of your smartwatch near the terminal.

Paying on apps and websites

To pay within a participating app and website, select Samsung Pay Checkout and confirm the payment using your biometrics or PIN.

Removing a card

For a Samsung phone, open Samsung Pay and tap Menu > Cards. Select the card you want to remove, then tap More options > Delete card. Choose a reason for removing the card and tap Delete. For a smartwatch, press the Back key to open Samsung Pay.

Enter your PIN and swipe to the card you want to remove. Tap More options > Delete > - (the minus sign). You can also delete cards through your phone by opening the Galaxy Wearable app. Tap Samsung Pay, then select the card you want to remove. Swipe up the card details, tap the Delete icon, then delete.
